About Me
Brett Gordon Batton is a writer and poet from the Foothills of North Carolina.
She graduated with a B.A. in English and a B.A. in Communication Studies from UNC-Wilmington. She holds a Master of Arts in Teaching- Secondary English from NC State University. Brett is currently an MFA student in poetry at West Virginia Wesleyan College in Buckhannon, WV.
She favors writing folk narrative poetry that explores folklore, traditions, and cultures around the world but focuses on Appalachia and her love for the Blue Ridge Mountains.
